Nationwide Arena to host 2027 Big Ten Wrestling Championships

The Big Ten Conference has announced that the 2027 Big Ten Wrestling Championships will be held at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on March 6-7. This marks the first time in the tournament's 113-year history that the event will be hosted at a neutral site.

All 14 Big Ten wrestling programs will participate in the two-day competition. The tournament schedule includes opening rounds, quarterfinals, and semifinals on Saturday, followed by consolation matches and championship bouts on Sunday. Live coverage will be provided by the Big Ten Network and B1G+.

Commissioner Tony Petitti noted that the move to a larger venue is intended to accommodate the growing interest and dominance of Big Ten wrestling. The conference has maintained a significant presence in the sport, with Big Ten programs winning each of the last 19 NCAA national team titles.
