Eritrean rider Natnael Tesfatsion secured victory at the 2026 Circuito de Getxo, a 178‑km Basque classic that runs from Bilbao to Getxo. He won a reduced sprint ahead of Pau Miquel and Alex Aranburu, delivering a notable win for the Movistar Team.

The race featured two steep ascents of the Pike climb (2 km at 9.4% gradient), which broke up the peloton. An early eleven‑rider break, controlled by UAE Team Emirates and Lidl‑Trek, was later whittled down to four riders. Mattia Bais went solo to claim the mountains classification.
