NATO allies conduct drone warfare training using lessons from Ukraine

NATO allies and the US military are conducting specialized training exercises focused on drone warfare and uncrewed systems, incorporating tactical lessons learned from the conflict in Ukraine.

In Germany, US Green Berets are coaching Polish special forces through drills designed to simulate traversing enemy territory and executing drone strikes. These exercises aim to replicate the specific challenges faced by Ukrainian troops in their defense against Russian forces.

Simultaneously, British Army units, including the 1st Battalion Irish Guards, have been testing the capabilities of aerial and ground-based drones. These trials, conducted in desert environments, evaluate how uncrewed systems perform under extreme heat, rugged terrain, and electronic warfare conditions to determine their effectiveness for future military acquisitions.
