NATO and U.S. Army to conduct Avenger Triad 26 command exercise

The U.S. Army Europe and Africa and NATO allies will conduct the ‘Avenger Triad 26’ command exercise from October 6 to 15. Spanning France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland, the drill aims to rehearse large-scale defense operations and coordinate headquarters through a digital network.

The exercise involves approximately 2,000 U.S. personnel and 2,000 multinational participants. While the physical deployment is limited, the drill will simulate a conflict involving more than 2.2 million friendly and opposing forces. The training is linked to NATO’s ‘Steadfast Duel 26’ and is designed to put the ‘Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative’ concepts into practice.

Participating formations include the U.S. Army’s V Corps, Poland’s 2nd Corps, France’s 1st Corps, and the 1st German-Netherlands Corps. The exercise focuses on integrating command posts to create a faster, more resilient, and more lethal command structure, utilizing modern technology and AI simulations to improve cross-border cooperation and decision-making speed.
