NATO military exercise held at Lakolk Strand in Denmark

Specialists from various NATO nations recently conducted a large-scale military exercise at Lakolk Strand on Rømø. The training involved tactical operations where crews from Germany, France, the United States, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Belgium landed heavy military transport aircraft on the beach during both daylight and total darkness. The primary objective was for specialists to establish and operate primitive landing strips in the terrain.
