NATO military exercises reveal gaps in drone warfare readiness

Recent military exercises, specifically the Combined Resolve maneuvers in Germany, have highlighted a significant gap in NATO readiness regarding modern drone warfare. During simulations involving American and Ukrainian forces, the Ukrainian side successfully utilized small drones to detect and theoretically destroy opposing equipment and personnel.

In contrast, the exercises revealed that the United States and other NATO forces are not yet effectively deploying the necessary reconnaissance and tactical drones required for contemporary combat. This lack of integration suggests that major military powers have yet to fully adapt to the lessons learned from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where drone technology and electronic warfare have become decisive factors on the battlefield.
