Ukraine Secures Over $5 Billion in New Aid Commitments from Allies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that partner nations have pledged a total of four billion dollars in assistance, including new weapons and support measures, during recent meetings of the G7 and the Contact Group for Ukraine’s defence.

In Brussels, allies at the Contact Group for Ukraine’s defence confirmed an additional one‑billion‑dollar contribution to the PURL programme for procuring arms, ammunition and drones. The combined pledges bring the potential total of new aid to exceed four billion dollars, with further requests for up to twenty billion dollars in longer‑term financing being discussed.

The announcements underscore continued Western financial and material backing for Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia.
