Russia warns NATO of nuclear response to defend Kaliningrad FAST-MOVING

Russia has issued a formal diplomatic protest to NATO through its embassy in Belgium, warning that the alliance's military activities near the Kaliningrad enclave significantly increase the risk of direct armed conflict. Moscow accused NATO of conducting exercises that simulate the isolation of the Russian exclave and of running an information campaign to promote the myth of a Russian threat.

In its communications, Russia stated it is prepared to use its entire military arsenal, including nuclear weapons, to defend its territory if NATO attempts to blockade or isolate Kaliningrad from the rest of the country. The Russian embassy also warned that any military action against Russian territory could result in attacks on NATO decision-making centers.

NATO responded by condemning the use of nuclear rhetoric and the threats of force. Spokesperson Allison Hart emphasized that NATO is a defensive alliance and maintained that its activities and exercises do not pose a threat to Russia. The alliance characterized Russia's hybrid tactics as a sign of desperation and reaffirmed its support for Ukraine.
