NATO surveillance aircraft operate over Poland

NATO surveillance aircraft, including the Boeing E-3A Sentry AWACS and the British RC-135W Rivet Joint, have been operating over Polish airspace.

The E-3A Sentry, an airborne early warning and control system, was observed performing surveillance patterns over the Wielkopolska region, including areas near Jarocin, Ostrowo Wielkopolskie, and Kalisz. Flying at approximately 27,000 feet, the aircraft conducted repetitive turns characteristic of long-duration monitoring and observation missions.

Simultaneously, the British RC-135W Rivet Joint conducted a mission involving the interception and analysis of electronic and signal intelligence. The aircraft traveled from Chania, Greece, through several European countries before patrolling near the eastern border, passing near Ukraine and Belarus. The presence of these specialized reconnaissance aircraft is interpreted as potential intelligence gathering or monitoring of electromagnetic environments along NATO's eastern flank.
