Natura announces leadership change with Alessandro Carlucci returning as CEO

Natura has announced a major leadership transition. Alessandro Carlucci will return as CEO on October 1, 2026, succeeding João Paulo Ferreira, who is stepping down after a ten-year tenure. Carlucci previously led the cosmetics company from 2005 to 2014.

Fábio Barbosa will return to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The company stated that these changes are intended to reinforce a focus on profitability, operational efficiency, and efficient capital allocation, while maintaining existing strategic guidelines.

Financial institutions have reacted to the news. JPMorgan noted that the return of Barbosa adds financial discipline, though it raised questions regarding long-term succession planning. BTG Pactual viewed the move as a sign of a new governance phase following the entry of Advent International into the company's shareholder structure.
