Natura hosts French perfumer Olivier Paget for fragrance event
Natura hosted an event in Aracaju featuring French perfumer Olivier Paget to celebrate Perfumer's Day. Paget, an ISIPCA graduate who has lived in Brazil for approximately two decades, discussed the technical complexities of fragrance creation, comparing the role of a perfumer to that of an architect.
The creation process involves precise measurements of raw materials, such as vanilla, followed by maceration and formula adjustments. Developing a single fragrance can take anywhere from several months to over a year.
Natura's fragrances utilize essential oils sourced from Brazilian biodiversity. The brand's production process follows an olfactory pyramid consisting of top, heart, and base notes, typically aiming for a 40-30-30 ratio to ensure harmony and longevity.
