Natura launches EKOS line refresh and Amazon bio‑ingredients startup
Brazilian cosmetics group Natura unveiled a refresh of its EKOS line, emphasizing high‑performance cosmetics derived from Amazon biodiversity. The updated range highlights bioactives such as castaña, cupuacu, tukumá, maracuyá, pitanga, andiroba, patauá and murumuru, promising visible skin benefits while reinforcing sustainable sourcing.
At the same time, Natura announced the creation of Natura Ingredientes, a corporate‑venture startup that will commercialise Amazon‑sourced bio‑ingredients to external sectors including food, pharma and cosmetics. The B2B platform, built on traceability and supply‑security standards, stems from Natura’s Amazon operations and its GRAS programme. Backed by the Natura Ventures fund in partnership with VOX Capital, the startup already has supply agreements through 2026 with companies such as the UK‑based LUSH and Brazil’s Mahta. In 2025, 13.1% of Natura’s raw materials came from the Amazon, sourced via a network of 43 Brazilian communities and over 11,000 families across the Pan‑Amazonia region.
