Natural History Museum reveals Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2026 finalists

The Natural History Museum in London has announced the finalists for the 2026 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. Selected from over 60,000 entries by an international jury, the finalists represent a diverse range of natural subjects.

Among the highlighted images is a portrait by the French photography duo Twins Wild Lens, Andrea and Maceo Grammatico, featuring a highly venomous lancehead viper being bitten by a mosquito in Central America. Another notable entry by Jack Crockford captures a swift flying in the shadow of a commercial airliner, illustrating the concept of biomimicry.

Additionally, photographer Audun Rikardsen captured a polar bear inspecting a seal hole in the ice near Svalbard using a custom submersible device. The official winners of the 62nd edition of the competition are scheduled to be revealed on October 13.
