Natural landscapes and hiking routes in Mendoza and Enkarterri

The Divisadero Largo natural reserve, located in the foothills of Mendoza, Argentina, offers a significant geological heritage. Spanning approximately 492 hectares, the area features rock formations and fossils that date back over 200 million years, allowing for the study of the region's evolutionary history. The reserve is situated only 8 kilometers from the center of Mendoza City within the Papagayos Circuit, accessible via Provincial Route 99.

In the Enkarterri region, hiking routes connect the Ubietamendi and Larrea peaks. Starting from the Torre de Loizaga, a 12-kilometer circular route passes through dense forests and meadows. The path includes an ascent toward the Ubieta refuge and offers views of the Galdames valley and surrounding mining areas.
