Natural phenomena: Lunar cycles and the science of fog

Natural phenomena such as lunar cycles and fog formation offer unique insights into the environment and human perception. The lunar cycle, lasting approximately 29.5 days, has historically served as a timekeeper. Different phases carry various symbolic meanings: the new moon is often associated with rest and planning, while the waxing moon is linked to increased activity and growth.

Fog occurs when air cools to its dew point, causing water vapor to condense into tiny droplets. This phenomenon is common during autumn due to cooling temperatures and high humidity. While Earth's fog is water-based, similar atmospheric hazes exist elsewhere, such as on Saturn's moon Titan, where organic compounds like methane and ethane create a chemically distinct haze.
