Nature destinations offer scenic views and free entry in Serbia and Croatia
The Ploče viewpoint in Serbia’s Đerdap National Park offers panoramic views of the Danube River. Located on the Miroč mountain at an altitude of 355 meters, the site overlooks the narrowing of the river near Mali and Veliki Kazan. The location features limestone cliffs reaching up to 300 meters and endemic flora. Access involves a 3.5-kilometer hiking trail that takes approximately three hours for a round trip. Visitors are advised to contact the national park in advance, and entry fees are approximately 250 dinars for small groups.
In Croatia, Paklenica National Park is celebrating its 77th anniversary with special offers. On October 18 and 19, entry for individual visitors will be free of charge. During this period, attractions such as the Manita cave and the Paklenica Underground City are available at promotional prices of 2.50 euros. The park, located near Zagreb, is known for its limestone canyons and forest trails, and will also host creative workshops for children during the anniversary celebrations.
