Nature excursions scheduled in Dorsten-Lembeck and Geisa

Various nature-focused events are scheduled in Germany for late September and October 2026.

In Dorsten-Lembeck, the Biologische Station Kreis Recklinghausen is hosting a mushroom-themed event on October 11. The program includes an exhibition titled ‘Vernetzte Landschaften’ (Connected Landscapes) followed by a guided forest excursion led by mushroom coaches Stefan Hast and Sonja Armerding. The event focuses on the ecological importance of fungi rather than foraging for food.

In Geisa, a sensory herb hike titled ‘Herbstglück’ is scheduled for September 29. Led by expert Sabine Etzel, the two-hour walk around the Rhönkanal area aims to combine plant identification with mindfulness, relaxation, and local folklore.
