Nature First Resort announces temperature-based refund campaign

Nature First LLC, which operates the Asama Kogen Hotel and several resort facilities in Tsumagoi Village, Gunma Prefecture, has announced a unique “If it is hot, full refund!” campaign. Running from August 15 to October 31, 2026, the initiative promises to fully refund room fees to guests if the daily maximum temperature in Tsumagoi Village exceeds 30°C on their day of stay.

The campaign aims to highlight the natural coolness of the Kita-Karuizawa area, located at an altitude of approximately 1,100 meters. The company intends to guarantee the experience of a summer retreat by offering a financial guarantee against heat. Temperature measurements will be based on data from the Japan Meteorological Agency’s Tashiro observation station.

To qualify, guests must book directly through the official websites of the eight participating facilities and submit an entry form before the day before check-in. The refund applies only to room charges and does not cover food, beverages, or optional services.
