Naturenergie Holding AG reports 2026 half‑year profit drop, confirms outlook
Naturenergie Holding AG announced its 2026 first‑half results on 27 July. Adjusted EBIT fell to about €62 million, €26 million below the prior year, while headline EBIT was €68 million, €23 million lower. Net profit after tax dropped 35 % to €46 million and operating revenue fell 18 % to €662 million.
The decline was attributed mainly to a significantly lower marketing level of its own electricity and to reduced water flow on the Hochrhein and in the Wallis, which cut hydro‑power generation. No external geological events caused production outages. The company reaffirmed its full‑year EBIT target of around €120 million and expects gross investments of over €180 million, with €66 million already spent on system‑relevant infrastructure in the first half.
Segments showed mixed performance: customer‑proximate energy solutions improved modestly, while system‑relevant infrastructure saw a €3 million decrease due to higher operating costs and inflation‑related personnel expenses.
