Naucalpan provides over 15,000 services to women
The municipal government of Naucalpan has reported providing more than 15,000 services to women as part of an integrated strategy for prevention, protection, and accompaniment. Managed through the Instituto de las Mujeres Naucalpenses y la Igualdad Sustantiva (IMNIS), the initiative focuses on addressing violence and promoting economic autonomy.
Data indicates a significant increase in gender-perspective contact services. In 2025, 2,262 initial contacts were recorded, compared to 837 during the same period in 2024. Additionally, mobile offices and the ‘Caravanas Estamos Contigo’ program served over 7,200 people. In 2026, more than 5,800 women have received attention and support to date.
Mayor Isaac Montoya Márquez highlighted several key components of the municipal policy, including the operation of the Centro LIBRE para las Mujeres, inaugurated in August 2025. To foster economic independence, 15,000 cards from the ‘Mujeres con Bienestar’ program were distributed in coordination with the State of Mexico government.
Prevention efforts also include the ‘Viajemos Seguras’ program, which trained 435 public transport operators and distributed over 9,000 informative materials to improve safety during daily commutes.
