NAV warns civil organizations of September 30 tax donation registration deadline

The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) has issued a warning regarding the September 30 deadline for civil organizations to register for the 1 percent personal income tax donation scheme.

Organizations that wish to receive these donations starting in 2027 and have not previously registered must submit the 26EGYREG form via the Online Form Filling Application (ONYA). This registration is a mandatory requirement for becoming a civil beneficiary; without it, organizations cannot receive the 1 percent tax donations.

NAV emphasized that the deadline is strictly binding. Failure to meet the September 30, 2026, deadline will result in the registration being disregarded, even if the organization submits supporting documentation or a request for leniency later.

Already registered organizations do not need to resubmit the form, as registration remains valid until revoked. A common error noted by the authority is the failure to report the bank account intended for disbursements, which can also be handled using the 26EGYREG form.
