Navajo Nation opens Echo Cliffs Health Center

The Echo Cliffs Health Center officially opened on October 2, 2026, in the Bodaway/Gap community of the Navajo Nation. The 123,000-square-foot outpatient facility is managed by the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation and provides primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, dental, eye care, pharmacy, physical therapy, and behavioral health services to Navajo, Hopi, and San Juan Southern Paiute families.

The project serves several communities, including Cameron, LeChee, Coppermine, and Page. The development follows decades of advocacy from local elders and addresses needs in an area formerly impacted by the Bennett Freeze, a federal development ban imposed in 1966. The facility operates under Public Law 93-638, also known as the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, which allows Tribes to manage their own health services and funding.
