Naval and maritime organizations in India announce apprentice recruitment

Multiple maritime and naval organizations in India have announced apprenticeship recruitment drives for 2026.

Cochin Shipyard (CSL) has released a notification for six ITI Trade Apprentice vacancies. The available positions include Fitter, Electrician, and Computer Operator & Programming Assistant. Candidates must have passed the 10th standard and hold an ITI National Trade Certificate (NTC) in a relevant trade. The application deadline is October 19, 2026, with a monthly salary of ₹11,000.

Separately, the Dockyard Apprentice School at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, is seeking 283 apprentices across various designated trades. The recruitment covers ITI pass, non-ITI (Class 10th pass), and 8th-pass candidates. Vacancies are distributed across 30 ITI trades and two non-ITI trades, including Electrician, Fitter, and Electronics Mechanic. Monthly stipends for these roles range from ₹6,800 to ₹9,600, depending on the trade and training duration.
