Naval training ships B.A.P. Unión and Esmeralda return from international cruises

The Peruvian training ship B.A.P. Unión and the Chilean training ship Esmeralda have both returned to their home ports following extensive international instruction cruises.

The B.A.P. Unión arrived in Callao after a five-month mission covering more than 16,000 nautical miles. The voyage included stops in the United States, Canada, and Panama, among other locations. The mission served to provide practical training for 78 Peruvian naval cadets and 155 crew members, while also acting as a diplomatic representative for Peru.

Similarly, the Chilean vessel Esmeralda returned to Valparaíso after completing its 70th Instruction Cruise. The ship navigated over 20,164 nautical miles, visiting ports in Chile, the United States, Canada, and Panama. Notable activities included sailing the Hudson River in New York and navigating the Caribbean Sea under full sail.
