Navalcarnero canine school investigated for animal abuse
The Guardia Civil has seized 46 dogs from a canine school in Navalcarnero, Spain, following investigations into alleged animal abuse. The investigation began in June after local residents reported deficient facilities and a lack of food and water for the animals.
During inspections, authorities discovered severe deficiencies in the facilities and found the body of one dog inside the premises. Of the 46 dogs rescued, nine required immediate hospitalization due to extreme thinness, anemia, and dehydration. Other animals exhibited signs of disease, parasites, and various injuries.
The two owners of the facility have been placed at the disposal of the judiciary for suspected animal cruelty, and the canine school has been closed.
