Navalmoral de la Mata to host mobile kidney disease screening
The RADAR Project is bringing chronic kidney disease (CKD) screening to the Navalmoral de la Mata Health Area via a mobile health unit. On September 29, the unit will be stationed at Plaza del Jardincillo to provide rapid urine tests conducted by nursing staff to detect early renal alterations.
The initiative utilizes advanced technology for patient monitoring, including an artificial intelligence-based voice assistant named LOLA. This virtual assistant will perform automated periodic calls to monitor the evolution of diagnosed patients, aiming to detect early signs of worsening conditions and provide personalized care. The project seeks to improve healthcare equity by bringing preventive services to rural municipalities.
