Navan reports strong Q2 revenue growth amid shifting business travel trends

Navan, an AI-driven business travel and expense management platform, reported strong second-quarter financial results, with revenue rising 35% year-over-year to $233 million. The company’s total gross booking value (GBV) exceeded $3 billion, a 45% increase from the previous year. Driven by growth in travel bookings and product adoption, Navan raised its full-year revenue outlook to a range of $927 million to $933 million.

Parallel to its financial growth, a study conducted by Navan in partnership with the CSA institute highlights shifting generational trends in professional travel. The research indicates that younger professionals (under 35) travel more frequently for work than older generations, with 64% reporting business travel in the last year compared to 38% of those aged 50 and older.

Key findings from the study show that 86% of workers under 35 believe face-to-face meetings enhance collaboration and corporate culture. Additionally, 65% of this younger demographic tends to combine business trips with leisure activities. In contrast, older professionals show a higher preference for rail travel, with 60% choosing trains compared to 52% of younger workers.
