Navantia accused of manipulating 2025 promotion process by CC OO

The labor union Comisiones Obreras (CC OO) has accused the naval company Navantia of manipulating the 2025 promotion process. Cristina García, president of the company’s inter-center committee, claims the management failed to negotiate with legal worker representatives as required by the collective bargaining agreement.

García reported an “alarming lack of transparency,” stating that management provided information regarding affected employees that was late, incomplete, and often delivered after individuals had already been notified of their promotions. The union highlighted discrepancies in professional groups GP1 and GP2, noting instances where employees with higher scores failed to promote while those with lower scores within the same department did.

Furthermore, the union criticized the horizontal promotion system, describing it as a “shameful trap.” They allege that the current structure allows managers to view seniority and salary quartile scores in advance, enabling them to manipulate scores to favor specific individuals.
