Navantia and Marine Instruments partner on maritime ISR solutions

Navantia and Marine Instruments have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) solutions for the maritime and defense sectors.

The partnership aims to develop technologies for capturing, processing, managing, and utilizing information in maritime environments. The collaboration integrates Navantia’s expertise in naval platforms, design, and defense system integration with Marine Instruments’ specialization in unmanned systems, remote sensing, communications, and applied intelligence.

The scope of the agreement covers the entire information cycle, from data collection via embedded or aerial sensors to processing and distribution to command centers. This includes technologies such as electro-optical sensors, infrared, radar, identification systems, and secure communications to improve situational awareness and operational response in demanding naval scenarios.
