Navantia announces 131 new engineering and technical jobs at Spanish shipyards

Spanish state shipbuilder Navantia has opened a recruitment drive for 131 new positions across its shipyards. The largest vacancy pool is in the Ferrol shipyard with 51 openings for senior engineers and technicians working on frigates, intervention vessels and repair systems. In the Bay of Cádiz, 46 jobs are offered, mainly in San Fernando (31), with additional posts in Puerto Real (11) and Cádiz (4). The capital’s Madrid centre will fill 22 roles, while Cartagena adds 12 specialist positions focused on submarine technology and digital security.

Applications are accepted through Navantia’s employment portal until 15 September. The vacancies target graduates and higher‑level technicians, covering fields such as naval engineering, cyber‑security, cloud and DevOps, data architecture, intelligent logistics, hydrogen technologies, and medical‑occupational health. Since 2019 the Ferrol, Cádiz, Cartagena and Madrid sites have collectively hired over 2,800 professionals to support expanding programmes.
