Navarra government implements personnel changes and rejects degrowth motion

The Government of Navarra has implemented several administrative changes, including various dismissals and appointments across the departments of Education, Health, Culture, and Digital Transformation. These changes involve several heads of sections and service managers within autonomous organizations.

In legislative news, the Parliament of Navarra rejected a motion proposed by Contigo-Zurekin and supported by EH Bildu that called for the development of a regional degrowth policy strategy. The rejected motion sought to treat a deliberate reduction in economic activity as a formal political strategy for sustainability.

Additionally, debate has arisen regarding a government initiative to provide an extra 200 euros per year in scholarships to female students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). Critics have raised concerns regarding the exclusion of male students and those enrolled in humanities or philology programs from this specific financial incentive.
