Navarre government allocates €60,000 to boost Euskera promotion

The Government of Navarre signed a new collaboration agreement with the cultural organization Eusko Ikaskuntza at the Palacio de Navarra in Pamplona. The €60,000 contract will fund the continuation of research, study and promotion activities for the Basque language (Euskera) as a cultural and coexistence value.

The agreement supports the second phase of the “Elkarbizitzarako zubiak eraikitzen Nafarroan” program, which seeks to build intercultural bridges by gathering qualitative and quantitative data on immigrant attitudes toward Euskera and Navarre’s cultural identity. Findings will be used to guide public policies and community practices that foster integration and cultural diversity.

Key participants at the signing included Ana Ollo, vice‑president of the Navarre government, and Ana Urkiza, president of Eusko Ikaskuntza, alongside director‑manager Javier Arakama of Euskarabidea‑Instituto Navarro del Euskera.
