Navarre health administration funds non-resident patient's private hospital stay

Internal reports from the Navarre health administration indicate a breach of official protocols regarding the transfer and care of a Moroccan patient from Soria. Despite the patient not being registered in Navarre, the administration authorized an inter-hospital transfer and subsequent referral to a private facility, San Juan de Dios.

The patient remained officially registered and linked to the healthcare system in Castilla y León. Reports suggest the family resisted changing the patient's legal residence to avoid losing economic benefits in their home community. Consequently, the Navarre health service, Osasunbidea, funded the stay at the private hospital, where costs reportedly exceed 300 euros per night.
