Navarrese folklore celebrated in Pamplona through tributes and concerts

The XII edition of the tribute organized by the Asociación Navarra de la Jota took place at the San Saturnino Church in Pamplona. The event focused on celebrating and preserving Navarrese folklore through song, dance, and the sound of the gaita.

Recognitions were given to various contributors to the region's cultural heritage, including Reyes Aristu, Tito Sánchez, José Luis Fraile, and the late Javier Lacunza. The ceremony aimed to ensure that traditional elements like the jota and the gaita continue to be passed down through generations.

In a related cultural event, the band La Pamplonesa performed at Plaza del Castillo as part of the San Fermín Txikito festivities. The concert featured marches, pasodobles, and jotas, while also introducing Carlos Sancho as the new artistic sub-director.
