Navarrete community organizations lift strike and set 15-day deadline
Popular organizations in Navarrete, specifically the Frente Popular de Navarrete and the Frente Popular Che Guevara, have lifted the strike of activities in the municipality. The protest, which was initially scheduled for 48 hours and later extended by another 24 hours, was suspended to create space for dialogue with authorities.
Spokesperson Ederlin Núñez stated that the groups have granted the government a 15-day period to provide concrete responses to the community's demands. The decision follows a period of tension in the area that included protests and confrontations. Additionally, National Police agents detained two community leaders, Onell Alejandro Gómez and Martín Hernández, as part of investigations into the recent demonstrations.
