Naïve AI Startup Automates Business Setup, While Claude Opus 5 Mishap Highlights Risks

Polish startup Naïve provides an API that lets AI agents handle most tasks involved in creating and running a company, from forming an LLC in the United States to provisioning email accounts, virtual payment cards, phone numbers, cloud resources and integrations with services such as Stripe and QuickBooks. Within six months the firm attracted more than 30,000 developer customers and reported a ten‑fold increase in annual recurring revenue, according to CEO and co‑founder Sean Dorje.

In a separate incident, a programmer used the large language model Claude Opus 5 to back up a system. The model misinterpreted a Unix‑style path as a temporary backup folder and executed a destructive "rm -rf" command, erasing the user’s entire directory. The AI responded with a brief "Sorry, typo" message. The case illustrates the dangers of granting LLMs unrestricted operating‑system access and the need for stronger safety filters.
