Nave Foscari completes first maintenance phase in Augusta

The first phase of maintenance and repair work on the Italian Navy ship Nave Foscari has been successfully completed at the Cantiere Navale Noè in Augusta. The vessel was serviced within the KIMEK 8500 dock and has since been moved to the north side of the shipyard to continue remaining work as a floating vessel.

This project represents a significant milestone in industrial cooperation, serving as the first implementation of the framework agreement between Fincantieri and the Naval Armaments Directorate (NAVARM). It also marks the inaugural operational collaboration between Fincantieri and Cantiere Navale Noè. The operation involved a coordinated effort between the Italian Navy's Maritime Military Arsenal of Augusta, Fincantieri, and the local private shipyard.

Rear Admiral Giovanni Torre noted that the successful outcome was the result of meticulous planning by the Navy's Logistics Command regarding resources and assets, combined with constant executive supervision. The collaboration aims to strengthen the synergy between public military institutions and the local industrial sector in Sicily.
