Naver and Brookfield to develop 1GW AI factory

Naver and Brookfield Corporation are advancing plans to build a 1GW-class global AI factory. During a meeting at Naver 1784 in Seongnam, Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin and Brookfield Corporation Chairman Bruce Platt discussed follow-up cooperation for the project.

The first phase of the initiative involves a 200MW capacity build-out with an investment of up to $9 billion. The partnership aims to combine Naver’s AI technology with Brookfield’s global infrastructure investment and asset management expertise. Beyond capital investment, Brookfield intends to support the project through equipment and infrastructure procurement and customer acquisition.
