Naver connects cultural heritage and film festival services

Naver is launching a series of cultural initiatives to mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Hangeul Day and to support the 31st Busan International Film Festival.

To commemorate a century of Hangeul, the company is running the ‘Everyone’s Hangeul’ campaign. The project highlights a century of linguistic history, ranging from 1926 Hangeul Braille to 2003 household ledgers. In collaboration with Minumsa, the campaign features perspectives from ten professionals, including poets and font designers, and allows users to create and share their own Hangeul records via Naver Blog.

Simultaneously, Naver is integrating its digital ecosystem into the Busan International Film Festival. The streaming platform Chzzk is providing exclusive live broadcasts of the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as award shows. Additionally, Naver Maps is offering curated local restaurant information, and the company has deployed ‘Npay Connect’ terminals and facial recognition payment systems at festival venues to streamline on-site transactions.
