Navitas Semiconductor secures U.S. Army contract and AI power partnership
Navitas Semiconductor has been selected for the U.S. Army-sponsored ALATTIS program, which aims to develop next-generation 10 kV silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor technology. Following a competitive evaluation, the company will work with the Army Research Laboratory to design, fabricate, and test a domestic manufacturing process for these ultra-high-voltage devices intended for mission-critical defense systems.
Following the announcement, Navitas Semiconductor (NVTS) shares rose as much as 20% in after-hours trading.
In a separate development, Navitas Semiconductor is collaborating with Wise Integration to advance power-computing applications. The partnership focuses on developing power supply units (PSUs) for AI data centers, high-end workstations, and industrial systems. By combining Wise Integration’s digital control technology with Navitas’ gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide technologies, the companies aim to improve power density and efficiency in high-voltage, high-power environments.
