Navracsics says Fidesz’s future uncertain after election loss

Former administration minister Navracsics Tibor told the Tusványos conference that the future of Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party is in question. He compared the situation to a collapsing house, saying “it’s like when a house falls down and the residents look for who survived,” and warned that the party may split if it cannot revive its political vitality.

Navracsics said signs of renewal are still missing inside the party and that new forces may need to emerge, either as a re‑energised faction within Fidesz or as a separate organization, to represent the millions who believe in a civil‑oriented Hungary.
