Navratri celebrations draw large crowds to temples in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh
On the fourth day of Shardiya Navratri, large crowds of devotees gathered at various temples across India to pray for prosperity and well-being.
At the ancient Mata Tekri Temple in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, thousands of worshippers participated in morning prayers. The temple priest, Suresh Nath, noted that the deity is worshipped in three forms throughout the day: childhood in the morning, youth in the afternoon, and old age in the evening. Approximately four to five hundred thousand devotees have visited the temple during the first four days of the festival.
In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the historic ‘Shrungar Chowki’ procession was held, organized by the Shri Mahant Baba Hathiram Pajawa and Shri Patharchatti Ramlila committees. The procession featured decorated chariots depicting Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Devi Sita, accompanied by traditional music and lights, continuing long-standing local Ramlila traditions.
