Navy and Air Force prepare for Week 5 college football matchup

The Navy Midshipmen and Air Force Falcons are set to face each other in a Week 5 college football matchup at Falcon Stadium in Colorado on October 3, 2026. The game is part of the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy competition.

Navy enters the game with a 1-2 record, while Air Force holds a 2-1 record following a double-overtime victory against Nevada. Both teams feature run-heavy offensive styles, averaging 333.7 rushing yards per game. Analysts suggest the game may be decided by rushing efficiency, noting Navy's strong rushing offense and Air Force's defensive struggles against the run.

Key players to watch include Navy's Braxton Woodson, whose return from injury could bolster the Midshipmen's ground game, and Jackson Gutierrez. Air Force enters the matchup as a 3.5-point favorite.
