Naxos: 42-year-old woman killed in fatal car collision

A 42-year-old woman died following a violent two-vehicle collision in the Mitropoli area of Naxos, above Galanado, on Thursday morning.

Preliminary reports suggest the woman lost control of her vehicle, leading to a collision with an oncoming rental car. Two foreign nationals traveling in the rental vehicle sustained minor injuries.

Emergency responders from the Fire Service and EKAB arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Despite efforts by paramedics to revive the woman through cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances and causes of the accident.
