Naxos: Body in diving suit discovered at sea

The Hellenic Coast Guard has recovered a body in an advanced state of decomposition approximately 4 nautical miles west of Naxos. The deceased was found floating in the sea and was wearing a diving suit and fins.

Due to the advanced state of decomposition, immediate identification of the individual was not possible. The body has been transported to the port of Naxos, where authorities will conduct forensic examinations to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause of death. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery is currently underway.
