Naxos inaugurates Glykeio-Martineio Ecclesiastical Home of Geriatrics

The Glykeio-Martineio Ecclesiastical Home of Geriatrics, dedicated to Saint Panteleimon, was officially inaugurated on Naxos. The facility, part of the Holy Metropolis of Paros, serves as a care unit for the elderly and the chronically ill.

The ceremony was led by Metropolitan Callinikos of Paros and attended by several high-ranking religious and political figures, including Metropolitan Dorotheos II of Syros and Bishop Bartholomaios of Keramos. Notable attendees included Deputy Minister of Sports Ioannis Vroutsis, benefactor Athanasios Martinos, and various local officials, including the Mayor of Naxos and the Small Cyclades.

The project's completion was attributed to the historical efforts of previous metropolitans and the significant financial contribution of Athanasios Martinos. The event was coordinated by Archimandrite Dorotheos Venetsanopoulos, the Protosyncellus of the Metropolis and Director of the facility.
