Naxos Indoor Gymnasium redevelopment project shows progress

Drone footage has provided a comprehensive view of the ongoing redevelopment project at the Naxos Indoor Gymnasium. The project involves the construction of training fields and an outdoor gymnasium.

A critical component of the current phase is the construction of a new 100-meter retaining wall, necessitated by a section collapse in December 2025. This wall is essential for subsequent works, including storm drainage networks, lighting installations, and final landscaping.

Additionally, work on an 8x8 football pitch is underway, with synthetic turf expected to arrive in late 2026. Following a recent five-month extension, the new contractual completion date for the entire project is set for March 9, 2027.
