Naxos: Woman safely relocates snakes found in home

A resident in Filoti, Naxos, discovered four small snakes inside her home. Rather than harming the reptiles, the woman contacted the Naxos Wildlife Protection Association to request assistance.

Members of the association responded to the call and collected the four small snakes, identified as Elaphe quatorlineata. The reptiles are believed to have been born within the stone masonry of the house. The association successfully relocated the snakes to a suitable natural environment away from human activity.
