Nayab Singh Saini flags off youth marathon in Rewari to combat drug abuse

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini flagged off a youth marathon in Rewari aimed at combating drug abuse. The event, themed ‘War against drugs with Rewari’, included 5km and 10km runs to engage local youth in the state's anti-narcotics movement.

During the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the government's multi-pronged approach to drug control, which includes enforcement, awareness, treatment, and rehabilitation. He noted that a Special Task Force has been formed to target drug traffickers and that the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau has been established.

To support recovery, the government has opened 160 drug rehabilitation centers and formed mission teams from the village to the state level. The Chief Minister stated that the administration is working toward a drug-free Haryana through the ‘Action Plan 2029’ and has already conducted over 2,400 community awareness programs involving more than 1.6 million participants.
