Nayarit Congress interviews candidates for State Attorney General

The Nayarit State Congress has advanced the selection process for the State Attorney General. Members of the Commission of Governance and Constitutional Points conducted interviews with 13 candidates who met the requirements of the official call.

During the sessions, deputies questioned the applicants regarding their proposed strategies for ensuring security, protecting human rights, and strengthening access to justice within the state. Following the legislative assembly's approval of the findings, the process will move to the Executive Branch, which has a maximum of 15 days to propose a shortlist of three candidates for a final vote by the full legislature.
